Repository policy
At Revista Tlamati, we use the open access repositories Zenodo and GitHub, adhering to the general policies offered to their users.
Content
Scope: All fields of research. All types of research artifacts. Content must not violate privacy or copyright, nor breach confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements regarding data collected from human subjects.
Status of Research Data: Any status is accepted, from any stage of the research lifecycle.
Eligible Depositors: Anyone can register as a Zenodo user. All users can deposit content for which they hold the corresponding rights.
Ownership: Uploading content does not imply any change of ownership, and no ownership rights are transferred to CERN. All uploaded content remains the property of the parties as of submission.
Data File Formats: All formats are permitted, including preservation-intensive ones. We are working on guidelines and features that will help people deposit in preservation-friendly formats.
Volume and size limitations: The total file size limit per record is 50 GB. Higher quotas may be requested and granted on a case-by-case basis.
Data quality: All information is provided "as is," and the user will hold Zenodo and the information providers who supply data to Zenodo harmless and free from liability regarding the use of such information.
Metadata sources and types: All metadata is stored internally in JSON format according to a defined JSON schema. Metadata is exported in various standard formats, such as MARCXML, Dublin Core, and DataCite Metadata Schema (in accordance with the OpenAIRE Guidelines).
Language: English is preferred for text elements, but all languages are acceptable.
Licenses: Users must specify a license for all publicly available files. Licenses for closed-access files can be specified in the description field.
Access and Reuse
Access to Data Objects: Files can be deposited under closed, open, or embargoed access. Files deposited under closed access are protected against unauthorized access at all levels. Access to metadata and data files is provided through standard protocols such as HTTP and OAI-PMH.
Use and Reuse of Data Objects: Use and reuse are subject to the license under which the data objects were deposited.
Embargo Status: Users can deposit content under embargo and provide an embargo end date. The repository will restrict access to the data until the end of the embargo period; at that time, the content will automatically become publicly available.
Restricted Access: Users can deposit restricted files with the ability to share access with others if certain requirements are met. These files will not be made publicly available and can only be shared with the approval of the original file depositor. Metadata Access and Reuse: Metadata is licensed under CC0, except for email addresses. All metadata is exported via OAI-PMH and may be collected.
Deletion
Revocation: Content deemed outside the scope of the repository will be deleted, and associated DOIs issued by Zenodo will be revoked. Please report any suspected policy violations immediately, ideally no later than 24 hours after upload. Alternatively, content that already has an external DOI will have the Zenodo DOI invalidated, and the record updated to reflect the original external DOI. User access may be revoked for violations of the Terms of Use.
Removal: If an uploaded research object needs to be removed later, the reason for removal will be stated on a discard page, which will be subsequently notified in its place. Removal is considered an exceptional action, which should normally be requested and duly justified by the original uploader. In all other circumstances, reasonable attempts will be made to contact the person who uploaded the original file to obtain consent. The DOI and URL of the original object are preserved.
Longevity
Versions: Data files are versioned. Logs are not versioned. Uploaded data is archived as a submission information package. Derivatives of data files are generated, but the original content is never modified. Logs may be removed from public view; however, the data files and the log are preserved.
Replicas: All data files are stored at CERN data centers, primarily in Geneva, with replicas in Budapest.
