Identity and Purpose of the Journal
Tlamati Sabiduría is an open-access, peer-reviewed, and indexed electronic journal that serves as the official publication for technical, scientific, and cultural dissemination of the Autonomous University of Guerrero, Mexico. Its name, Tlamati—which means "wisdom" in Nahuatl—evokes the commitment to the generation, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge from a perspective that values both ancestral epistemic traditions and contemporary scientific and technological advances.
The journal publishes scientific research.
Tlamati Sabiduría is conceived as a pluralistic space that embraces the diversity of knowledge, methodological approaches, and epistemic frameworks, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and the social relevance of knowledge.
Tlamati Sabiduría aspires to become a leading publication in the dissemination of scientific, humanistic, and cultural knowledge in Mexico and Latin America, contributing to scientific sovereignty and the democratization of knowledge through open access and editorial integrity.
Objectives
1. To publish original research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in science, humanities, technology, and innovation.
2. To foster epistemic pluralism, recognizing and valuing the diversity of methodological approaches, theoretical frameworks, and forms of academic communication.
3. To promote open access to science as a human right, ensuring that the benefits of scientific and humanistic production are available to everyone free of charge and permanently.
4. To strengthen the link between research and society by publishing content that addresses regional, national, and global issues with social relevance.
5. To guarantee academic and editorial integrity through rigorous peer-review processes and adherence to best editorial practices.

Tlamati Sabiduría gives preferential attention to research addressing issues and contexts in the state of Guerrero, southern Mexico, and Latin America, recognizing the importance of generating situated knowledge that contributes to regional development and the solution of social, environmental, and cultural problems in these regions. However, the journal also welcomes contributions from other regions and contexts, provided their relevance is significant to the academic community.
Types of Accepted Contributions
Scientific Research Article. Original results of empirical or experimental research, with in-depth discussion of the findings and their implications in light of recent literature. 5-15 printed pages (12-38 double-spaced sheets)
Technological Innovation Article. Description of devices, products, services, or processes that improve industrial or business performance. Submission is recommended only if the innovation has been submitted as a patent or utility model. 5-15 printed pages
Editorial Scope
Languages of Publication
Tlamati Sabiduría publishes contributions in Spanish and English. Works that include abstracts in both languages will be valued to promote visibility and international academic exchange.
Open Access Policy
The journal operates under a Diamond open access model, with no processing fees (APCs) or subscription. All content is available free of charge and immediately upon publication, in accordance with the open access philosophy and the recognition of knowledge as a public good.
Publication License: Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, which allows others to share the work provided that authorship is acknowledged and it is not used for commercial purposes.
Frequency and Publication
The journal is published biannually (two issues per year). Special volumes and thematic issues are also published in response to specific calls for submissions.
Evaluation Process
Tlamati Sabiduría subjects all contributions to a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
